TESTIMONIALS FROM MAY 2013
Testimonial about John singing with th band and Sam Healey performing solo saxophone early evening
We would both like to say a huge thank you to you and the coolers. John’s rendition of you got the love worked so well, although people recognised the song it was different enough that some people thought it was a unique cover for our wedding, it has just right speed for us to have our first dance to. Jayne even commented that I could even keep rhythm to it. Sam’s sax talent was also wonderful and we got comments all evening about how well he added background to turn around, nothing to fussy just kept it flowing. But out of everything the whole band we got constant praise about with people asking who they was and how we found them. The set just worked so well with all our guests, from under 16s to a few pensioners.
Thank you so much and please pass on our thanks to band

"Hi Gavin, a little bit late but just wanted to say a massive thank you on behalf of Lucy and Myself to you and the guys for our wedding on the 10th May at the Red Hall Hotel. You were absolutely brilliant and all of our guests and even the hotel were asking who you were. You made the night and we will recommend you to anyone and everyone.
Thanks to you all again. You really helped make it the best day and night of our lives
Craig and Lucy Moran"
Just want to say a huge thank you to you and the band for the performance on saturday. Paul and I loved it! We had an amazing time - my feet ached so much on sunday from all the dancing. Everyone commented on how good you were-it really made the night and i think the number of people dancing throughout the night proves this. The final song & send off will never be forgotten!
Thank you for making our day one we will never forget! Hopefully we will see you in O'Neils in the near future
Becky & Paul
Me and Jey would like to say many thanks to you and the band for playing at our wedding on the 31/03/13. You guys were amazing and all our guests said the same, you made the night and rocked the house down (literally).
All the best to the band and we will look out for you guys playing in the future.
TESTIMONIALS FROM MARCH 2013
We just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and the band. It was absolutely incredible and really made the day. I have never seen so many people dancing and having such a fantastic time. We booked you on a recommendation and we will certainly be recommending you to anybody who asks. Not only were the band fabulous but your DJing was excellent and you really judged the crowd well. I'm sure you could tell that the request for some Take That went down a treat.
Again than you for an unforgettable experience and we hope you recognise your new fans at some of your upcoming gigs.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to you and your band for playing at last Friday's Matalan Winter Wonderland Evening, the feedback has been amazing and everyone was up dancing as soon as you guys started!
We raised over £100,000 for the NSPCC so the evening was a great success.

Sian and I wanted to send you an email to say a great big thank you for Saturday.
Both 'King & Jones' and 'The Coolers' absolutely rocked and we can't thank you enough for your contribution in making our Wedding Day such an absolute cracker.
We'll pass your details on at every opportunity and may well venture over to the other side of the Pennines to hear you play again.
Happy for you to give my contact details on to anyone who's seeking reassurance or simply asking if you're any good.
Thanks again to you and the rest of the band.

TESTIMONIAL FROM AUGUST 2012
Louisa and I just wanted to say a HUGE thankyou again for the amazing time we had with The Coolers on saturday...I can't believe how the place rocked!!!! Everyone was talking about it during the rest of the night until we all got to bed at 3, and the next day too. Three encores!! It will be a big lasting impression from our incredible wedding day and I'm so glad you were available! Please send me a link for a review and I'll get it done for you.
I think you might have left some gear at Nunsmere - two tripod stands which look like they might be for speakers? They are behind reception.
Thanks again Gavin, and please pass my message on to the rest of the band. We'll never forget our wedding reception and the great time we had! Oh, and the fireworks were superb, thanks for putting the music on and coordinating that....

I just wanted to say a massive thanks to you and the rest of the The Coolers for playing at our wedding on 18th May at Rookery Hall.
The music was just fantastic and got everyone up doing some crazy dancing - which is just what we wanted.
We have had so many comments from our friends and family on how amazing the band were, so wanted to let you know.
We will definitely recommend you to all our friends in the North West and beyond! I am also now stalking you on Facebook and Twitter ;-)
Ruth and Clive Stevenson
Just wanted to say thank you very much to you and and the band for playing at our wedding on the 19th of May. We really enjoyed the sets you played and we know all the guests did too. You judged the crowd brilliantly and got everyone on the dance floor going! We also really appreciated how professional you were before in dealing with our questions as well as on the night. We look forward to coming along to some Coolers gigs soon!

TESTIMONIAL FROM APRIL 2012
Some kind words about Matt Wolff and the band
Just wanted to send you a quick email to say a huge thank you. The Coolers were amazing (but we knew this already!) and despite relatively small numbers (65 people) the dancefloor was full most of the night, no doubt due to them. We have had many people asking where we found them and how impressed they were.
Also, Carmella was fantastic and we really appreciate you sorting out for her to be there at the last minute. She accommodated a few strange requests from our Irish relatives and she really got the party going. She has since emailed me a video she took of everyone!
So once again, a huge thank you and I would be grateful if you can pass on our thanks to the rest of the band and Carmella.
Grace and Andy.
Just a quick note to say that the band were FAB. Everyone commented on them, Matt was great and I think I tried to kiss them all thank you at the end of the night. DJ was good fun, everyone danced including me for most of the night but I ditched the Jimmy Choos.
Thought I had died and gone to heaven when Matt started with my all time favourite Gloria Gaynor classic……and one guest had his back to the band and thought that he was listening to a cd!!!!
I will recommend you anyday of the week.
TESTIMONIAL FROM MARCH 2012
I just wanted to send a quick email to say a very big thank you for last sunday.
The band was fantastic (again) and everybody loved it. I've still had people coming to me this week telling me how good you were!
So thank you for making the night a big success. And for doing the dj'ing which was great as well.
If we do anything again in the near future i will be getting in touch!
I hope you are well anyway, please pass on our thanks to the rest of the band. And maybe see you again at some time!
Esther Banks - Party March 2012
Sorry I don't have your address to post a card but wanted to say a big thanks to you and the band for such great live music on our wedding. You had the crowd up and dancing and we had loads of people comment on how brilliant you all were, your voice sounded amazing!
Saf and Neems - Wedding March 2012
Gavin many thanks to the band for a great performance at my daughters wedding last Friday. You had the whole party rocking. My dad Eric is 81 and his rendition of "that's life" with the bands accompaniment will remain with us forever.
Stephen Ibbotson (Dip) PFS -Wedding March 2012
Wanted to say thanks again for your sets lat night, absolute class. The dancefloor was packed all night and everyone was buzzing this morning. You were a different class to the usual entertainment.
Cheers Paul Rundle - Wedding March 2012
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT OUR FACEBOOK GROUP
Mr Zucherberg in his infinite wisdom has deemed old style and well established groups obsolete and as a result has archived our old 'THE COOLERS' group, much to our annoyance, and thereby removing all our members (nearly 1000!). Can you re-add us on this link below :-)

TESTIMONIAL FROM JAN 2012
Thank you thank you thank you thank you for being so amazing on saturday. It is because of you that I didn't speak to most of our evening guests as I was glued to the front of the dance floor!!!!!!
we had the most amazing day and I literally was gutted when you guys finished.
Please pass on a big thanks to the rest of the band as you were all brill.
Can't wait to see you guys again soon
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
2011 was a great year for the band, we had so many great gigs in the year and managed to record an 8 song studio EP, as well as release a video promo from the session, which has stood us in good stead for 2012. Matt Wolff also established himself as a top frontman when called upon to lead the band in my absence (just check out his testimonials on the band page!) and we just went from strength to strength as a professional outfit.
At the time of writing this (Jan 2nd 2012) - we already have 49 weddings and corporate parties in for 2012 (outside our usual pub and bar commitments) and 2013 has started to be booked, so if you are interested in the band, please get your enquiry in to us ASAP!! Good luck for the New Year everyone.

I do not have the words to describe how awesome the band were at our wedding party last sunday! They were absolutely mega and thoroughly enjoyed by absolutely everyone - especially me!! They appeared happy and pleased to be there and enjoying what they do best which made my night even more enjoyable! I didn't want it to end and I was certainly one of the last on the dance floor the dress was wrecked with sweat! The band were seriously and possibly concerningly THE best part of our big day!!! Well done for finding such talented blokes! If they ever want to use our house to practice, I would be more than accomodating! I'm sure that they noticed that I was really enjoying them...can you please say a massive thanks to them and of course to Paul too, who did an equally spot on job! It was my most favorite party ever!!
Do you have a CD of your covers??????
Hope to see you again somewhere soon...I really hope some of our mates het married and have you guys!

2010 has been a very busy and successful year for The Coolers - here are some of the lovely words we have received from people who have booked us.
I’ve had nothing but great feedback today since being back in the office – everyone thought you guys were excellent so again, a huge thanks to you all for contributing to the success of the evening.
A few people have said they’d like to go along to future gigs of yours so if you have anything going on down this way, let me know.
Union Square Software Ltd, Nottingham, UK - December 2010
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to The Coolers for providing the
entertainment for our wedding last Friday at Thornton Manor - we had a
brilliant time, as did all the guests who said that the band was
excellent and knew how to work the crowd. No one else complained
about how loud it was (these old people get a bit funny about things
like that) but it was lovely of you to come and check if it was
We would definitely use you at other events and would not hesitate in
recommending you to friends and family.
Jane & Nik Stuart - Wedding November 2010
Just checking my emails now back from honeymoon and was going to drop you a line anyway to say thanks so much for everything. The entire day was absolutely magical from start to finish and your guys were a big part of that; Andy the DJ as well as the band.
I don't know how often you/they get asked for encores at little gigs like that, but it certainly reflects how much fun everyone had that we had people shouting at the wedding for the band to keep going! We had so many people commenting to us in person on how good the guys were as well, and several more asking for your details for future reference should they need a band!!
So a fantastic time had by all and you may have drummed up some more business through it as well! Sincerely, many thanks again for all your help!!
All the best,
Neil & Jen Kerns - Wedding October 2010
Both Marianne and I wanted to say a big thank-you for playing at our wedding on the 21st of August.

Wedding season is upon us, and unfortunately that means the opportunity to come and see us publically diminishes I'm afraid. We still have roughly 2 public gigs a month so its not impossible, there is just less choice.
Please check out our new pics from the Sir Alex Ferguson Charity Event we played at in March at Old Trafford. The event was a massive success, and was better than every prior year we had played there before. We took a larger band (8 piece) including female vocalist Jennie Sawdon and it seemed to do the trick, as the crowd were going wild to songs like Michael Jacksons' 'Working Day and Night' and The Zutons 'Valerie', which included celebrities from Coronation Street and the world of entertainment as well as football.
7th February 2007
Happy New Year everyone. I know its a bit late, but you've obviously seen the new website design, and I hope you like it.
There are some changes to the site, in terms of content. We have a section called 'What We Do' which basically answers all the questions that get regularly asked of us. There is also a link to our My Space profile, which is probably the best place to get informed of where we are playing, and there are more profiles of all the musicians we use when we gig, and not just the five who were up there before. This is to help you recognise the band if we turn up with Bryan or Tim instead of Greg or Kenji etc.
We have also completed our first promo photoshoot, which has now been uploaded - so check us out (boy band-ish or what!!!), and there will be a live shoot from our gig at OLD TRAFFORD for the Alex Ferguson Charity Benefit, that will be here from early April.
And Finally... We have the live tracks uploaded from the Charity Snow Ball we did in Dec 2006, featuring Jennie Sawdon, so definitely check them out.
14th August 2006
It looks like we are doing nothing at the moment, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Since May, the Wedding season has really kicked in and the band have been performing 2 - 3 and sometimes 4 weddings in a week. As result, there have been a lack of public gigs for followers and potential clients to see the band, and for this we apologise - but we are incredibly busy and we hope you understand.
We have updated a few new public dates for August below and the word is hopefully that full bands will be back at O'Sheas soon, which will help (although there will be a sound limiter).
24th March 2006
- THE BLUES CLUB, GLOSSOP
We are proud to announce that we are to play at a new residency in Glossop. The venue is called The Blues Club, and it is situated next to the Glossop railway station. The venue used to be a classic live music venue in years gone by, and its a real throw back to the old style venues that used to be around, with vintage guitars on the walls and gig posters from the greats - its a real perfect place for live music.
The band will be the first of the Pro Music UK Ltd roster to play there, and the residency is being trialed by the owners for 3 months - so come down and please support us, get there for 8pm, the band starts at 9pm for 2 x 45 minute sets, and the bar is licenced till 3am.
7th March 2006
Unfortunately, Friday nights at Loaf have been cancelled until further notice. From our point of view, the nights were a success but it seems the powers that be don't want the expense and did not feel comfortable charging on the door, as it wasn't in Mitchells & Butlers usual policy.
If you wish to air your views on this and give us some support, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

This was particularly prevalent following recent contracts securing of regular gigs in and around the manchester area.

The Coolers play the World Famous Phoenix Club, Bolton
The Coolers where invited to play at the now World famous Phoenix club, in Bolton, made famous by Northern comedy sensation Peter Kaye in his Channel 4, Phoenix Nights. The occasion was a private party held for many Bolton luminaries, and the venue was appropriately branded - see The Gallery.
The band went down a storm, but the night turned sour when they where escorted off the stage by resident security - Max and Paddy for singing their own version of 'Send the Buggers back!' - lead by Kenji !!!
