HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
2011 was a great year for the band, we had so many great gigs in the year and managed to record an 8 song studio EP, as well as release a video promo from the session, which has stood us in good stead for 2012. Matt Wolff also established himself as a top frontman when called upon to lead the band in my absence (just check out his testimonials on the band page!) and we just went from strength to strength as a professional outfit.
At the time of writing this (Jan 2nd 2012) - we already have 49 weddings and corporate parties in for 2012 (outside our usual pub and bar commitments) and 2013 has started to be booked, so if you are interested in the band, please get your enquiry in to us ASAP!! Good luck for the New Year everyone.

Dear Gavin
I do not have the words to describe how awesome the band were at our wedding party last sunday! They were absolutely mega and thoroughly enjoyed by absolutely everyone - especially me!! They appeared happy and pleased to be there and enjoying what they do best which made my night even more enjoyable! I didn't want it to end and I was certainly one of the last on the dance floor the dress was wrecked with sweat! The band were seriously and possibly concerningly THE best part of our big day!!! Well done for finding such talented blokes! If they ever want to use our house to practice, I would be more than accomodating! I'm sure that they noticed that I was really enjoying them...can you please say a massive thanks to them and of course to Paul too, who did an equally spot on job! It was my most favorite party ever!!
Do you have a CD of your covers??????
Hope to see you again somewhere soon...I really hope some of our mates het married and have you guys!

2010 Testimonials
2010 has been a very busy and successful year for The Coolers - here are some of the lovely words we have received from people who have booked us.
Dear Gavin
I’ve had nothing but great feedback today since being back in the office – everyone thought you guys were excellent so again, a huge thanks to you all for contributing to the success of the evening.
A few people have said they’d like to go along to future gigs of yours so if you have anything going on down this way, let me know.

Hi Gavin
Just wanted to say a huge thank you to The Coolers for providing the
entertainment for our wedding last Friday at Thornton Manor - we had a
brilliant time, as did all the guests who said that the band was
excellent and knew how to work the crowd. No one else complained
about how loud it was (these old people get a bit funny about things
like that) but it was lovely of you to come and check if it was
bothering me.
We would definitely use you at other events and would not hesitate in
recommending you to friends and family.
Best
Jane & Nik Stuart - Wedding November 2010
Hi Gavin,
Just checking my emails now back from honeymoon and was going to drop you a line anyway to say thanks so much for everything. The entire day was absolutely magical from start to finish and your guys were a big part of that; Andy the DJ as well as the band.
I don't know how often you/they get asked for encores at little gigs like that, but it certainly reflects how much fun everyone had that we had people shouting at the wedding for the band to keep going! We had so many people commenting to us in person on how good the guys were as well, and several more asking for your details for future reference should they need a band!!
So a fantastic time had by all and you may have drummed up some more business through it as well! Sincerely, many thanks again for all your help!!
All the best,
Neil & Jen Kerns - Wedding October 2010
Gavin,

If we can ever be of assistance with a recommendations or references please feel free to let us know.
Thanks again,

Wedding season is upon us, and unfortunately that means the opportunity to come and see us publically diminishes I'm afraid. We still have roughly 2 public gigs a month so its not impossible, there is just less choice.
Please check out our new pics from the Sir Alex Ferguson Charity Event we played at in March at Old Trafford. The event was a massive success, and was better than every prior year we had played there before. We took a larger band (8 piece) including female vocalist Jennie Sawdon and it seemed to do the trick, as the crowd were going wild to songs like Michael Jacksons' 'Working Day and Night' and The Zutons 'Valerie', which included celebrities from Coronation Street and the world of entertainment as well as football. |

UPDATE
Happy New Year everyone. I know its a bit late, but you've obviously seen the new website design, and I hope you like it.
There are some changes to the site, in terms of content. We have a section called 'What We Do' which basically answers all the questions that get regularly asked of us. There is also a link to our My Space profile, which is probably the best place to get informed of where we are playing, and there are more profiles of all the musicians we use when we gig, and not just the five who were up there before. This is to help you recognise the band if we turn up with Bryan or Tim instead of Greg or Kenji etc.
We have also completed our first promo photoshoot, which has now been uploaded - so check us out (boy band-ish or what!!!), and there will be a live shoot from our gig at OLD TRAFFORD for the Alex Ferguson Charity Benefit, that will be here from early April.
And Finally... We have the live tracks uploaded from the Charity Snow Ball we did in Dec 2006, featuring Jennie Sawdon, so definitely check them out. |

UPDATE
It looks like we are doing nothing at the moment, but that couldn't be further from the truth. Since May, the Wedding season has really kicked in and the band have been performing 2 - 3 and sometimes 4 weddings in a week. As result, there have been a lack of public gigs for followers and potential clients to see the band, and for this we apologise - but we are incredibly busy and we hope you understand.
We have updated a few new public dates for August below and the word is hopefully that full bands will be back at O'Sheas soon, which will help (although there will be a sound limiter). |

NEW VENUE
- THE BLUES CLUB, GLOSSOP
We are proud to announce that we are to play at a new residency in Glossop. The venue is called The Blues Club, and it is situated next to the Glossop railway station. The venue used to be a classic live music venue in years gone by, and its a real throw back to the old style venues that used to be around, with vintage guitars on the walls and gig posters from the greats - its a real perfect place for live music.
The band will be the first of the Pro Music UK Ltd roster to play there, and the residency is being trialed by the owners for 3 months - so come down and please support us, get there for 8pm, the band starts at 9pm for 2 x 45 minute sets, and the bar is licenced till 3am. |

LOAF CANCELLED
Unfortunately, Friday nights at Loaf have been cancelled until further notice. From our point of view, the nights were a success but it seems the powers that be don't want the expense and did not feel comfortable charging on the door, as it wasn't in Mitchells & Butlers usual policy.
If you wish to air your views on this and give us some support, please email us at gavin@thecoolers.co.uk. |
